Flo Lounge The Prettiest Little Lounge There Ever Was
If we were to sum up Flo Lounge and Restaurant in one word, it would be BEAUTIFUL. You guys. Flo is absolutely gorgeous. On a block filled with restaurants, this corner oasis stands out in a major way... Flo has all the high class, modern feel of a Manhattan lounge, but none of the pretentious vibes... We stopped by in the day time, and Flo would easily be our first choice as a business lunch or weekend brunch– the large windows make for a bright, comfortable atmosphere. As for the weekends? Flo gets FUN. Weekend nights see Flo is strictly 21 and up, and there’s a reason why. Flo comes to life as a full fledged lounge, playing the latest House music until the late hours of the night... Now, let’s get to the food. They’ve got the classics like Penne a la Vodka and Fried Calamari, but what Flo really shines in is their Sushi and Whole Fish Bronzini. We know, we know, it seems unorthodox to have sushi somewhere that’s not an authentic sushi spot, but believe us, it was worth it. The Bronzini is cooked to perfection, and falls apart in your mouth so amazingly delicately.
“The coffee was the sign of foodie love to come, it was great. The Bloody Mary didn’t disappoint either. Now, when I saw the size of the “Farmers Breakfast” it was an OMG moment. The platter is so huge, you can probably feed a family of four with it. On taste the flavors exploded on my palette, the blend of all these super fresh ingredients was of foodie love heaven. The flavors, the ingredients all coming together at the same time cause me to slow up my brunch intake… OMG it was delicious!” – Brunchonian NYC
“If you’re craving something packed with flavor, try the ginger-sesame marinated skirt steak salad. Exotic mushrooms and marinated skirt steak are placed on a bed of baby spinach, drizzled in a red onion balsamic vinaigrette. Tender meat, fresh spinach, savory mushrooms – this dish combines a variety of flavors that will quickly become a customer favorite.”
“Flo Lounge Restaurant truly is a hidden gem in Astoria Queens. From the outdoor seating area, to the decor, great service, and eclectic menu, Flo Lounge has something for everyone! Dinning here will give you a Manhattan experience right in the heart of Queens.” – The Hot Zone USA
"The oh-so -delicious brunch options at Flo Lounge on 30th Avenue , would be a great place to start. I'm certain that many of our readers have enjoyed dinner or drinks inside Flo's spacious dining room or in their romantic and intimate back lounge. Do yourself a favor and try Flo's brunch selections. For all you late risers out there, brunch is served until 4 PM on weekends. At around $13.00, Flo's prix-fix brunch is a real appetite tempting bargain, which includes choice of sangria, mimosa, bloody mary or champagne. My favorite is the hearty farmers breakfast, a generous portion of scrambled eggs mixed with peppers, onions bacon, roasted potatoes and sausage. For those of you who enjoy their brunch with a touch of spice, try Flo's "southwestern benedict". This dish has it all...toasted biscuits topped with pulled pork, poached eggs, cheddar and chipolite hollandaise sauce."
I recently celebrated my birthday here with friends and family. The drinks here are amazing. I purchased a premium open bar package for my party. I was skeptical of the idea because I thought the drinks would be watered down but NO!. They drinks were great!. The food is very tasty. No one in the party complained about the food or the service. That's pretty good when you have 15 people to please. The ambiance is beautiful, especially at night. Thanks Flo Lounge! Will definitely be back. - Kristin W.
The atmosphere at Flo is perfect for a night out with friends and you want to just kick back and catch up. The drinks are strong and the food is great! The music is at the perfect volume and and the seats are comfy. The waitstaff is really attentive to the patrons during the week; however, come weekend and it's pretty fast without pressure! You MUST MUST MUST try the fried oreos. It's perfect for 3 people! - Geo N.
I went here last night with my girlfriends for the first time and we had such a great time. The service was outstanding our waiter took his time didn't rush us to order. We were able to enjoy our drinks and appetizers. Once we finished we ordered our main course. The drinks, food and dessert was simply amazing. The atmosphere was awesome good music and setting. This will NOT be our last time here!!! - Melissa H.
I came on Sunday for brunch for my birthday with friends and family and everyone loved their food, from the southwestern pulled pork eggs Benedict to the Asian soba noodles. All the dishes were delicious. Can't beat this deal for a group 10 or larger tea or coffee and mimosa, entree and dessert for a very reasonable price. Great service from all around and especially our server Silva. Everyone rocked! Plus the place has a great vibe. Many of my friends and family will be coming back and so will I. - Maribel G.
Flo Lounge Restaurant balances the best of both worlds - relaxing, casual daytime ambiance, and a late-night DJ-fueled dinner/drinks atmosphere. I checked them out over the weekend and they delivered a solid (and cheap!) brunch deal. At $15 for coffee, a drink and your pick from a number of outstanding brunch options, Flo puts up a good argument for a weekend brunch stop. They have ample outdoor seating for those warm upcoming summer days along with a spacious modern indoor space. The Southwestern Benedict is just one of the great choices off the brunch menu. Pulled pork is served on toasted biscuits topped with poached eggs and a heavy helping of cheddar cheese and spicy chipotle hollandaise. The Verdict: Flo is a solid prix fixe brunch option on 30th Avenue in Astoria. If you're really looking to take advantage of the weekend, they also offer a $10 all-you-can-drink option as an add-on. Lots of great menu options, a spacious, modern atmosphere and service to please - Flo gets my vote! - David B.
